Today I’ll be talking about the 1 terabyte M.2 SSD by Silicon Power. The P34A80 model specifically. This little device has impressive performance and isn’t even that expensive. The opposite actually. Let me tell you a bit more.

A speedy little device

The SP P34A80 is small, like any other PCIe M.2 drive. It weighs only 8 grams! And it is snappy too; 3400MB/s and 3000MB/s sequential read and write speeds. No doubt this will speed up your system!

I am impressed by how tiny SSDs have become and especially with how affordable they have become. This is the 1tb model and it costs just around €140. Super affordable for such a speedy little device.

The P34A80 is compatible with modern systems thanks to its M.2 2280 form factor. The only thing that is required of course is that your motherboard supports such PCIe drives. This drive contains a Phison E12 controller which is a quality component used in many other drives. It supports the NVMe 1.3 protocol.

This drive is backed by a 5 year warranty by Silicon Power which proves they are confident in this drive being top quality and will last you a long time.

3,400MB/s / 3,000MB/s read and write speeds

  • Super-fast PCIe Gen3x4 interface for read/write speeds of up to 3,400MB/s / 3,000MB/s
  • NVMe 1.3 support
  • RAID engine for enhanced data integrity
  • Supports SLC Cache and DRAM Cache Buffer. Provides great SSD sequential read/write and random read/write performance.
  • Slim form factor M.2 2280 for perfect fit in slim and portable mobile applications or desktop PCs

The full capacity P34A80 takes high-end devices to a whole new level of performance and responsiveness. Supporting the super-fast PCIe Gen 3×4 interface, it reaches incredible read and write speeds of up to 3400MB/s and 3000MB/S leaving PCIe Gen 3×2 and SATA III behind by a huge margin and high-power users with nothing better to wish for. It’s the ultimate addition to your performance gaming arsenal. – Silicon Power website

Speed is as advertised: lightning quick

I managed to get these results in the benchmarks:

Exactly like the advertised 3400MB/s read and 3000MB/s write speeds. Absolutely nailed it right there, Silicon Power!

I don’t know what else to say about this drive. It is blazing fast, it has 1 terabyte capacity, and it is plug & play. Easy to install, easy to use, blazing fast. The easiest verdict ever;

I rate it 9/10 and I highly recommend it.
