Earlier we looked at the P34A80 M.2 SSD. Now it is time to look at the P34A60 module. It is a bit slower than the A80, but still very solid performance for the price. Read more below!
Speed
The SP P34A60 reaches 2200 MB/s read and 1600 MB/s write speed. This is pretty solid performance and more than enough if you’re not really a power user. For your everyday tasks and some photo or video editing this is a great device.
But the P34A60 does not have DRAM which means once the cache fills up, it will slow down significantly.
Facts
The P34A80 that we reviewed earlier sports a Phison E12 NVMe SSD controller. The P34A60 however, uses a DRAMless Silicon Motion SM2263XT NVMe SSD controller which is not as quick, but because of HMB technology still responsive. In practice this usually means it shows more latency when on heavy load. Even so, the performance is good enough for this price point.
Features
- PCIe Gen 3×4 interface with read speeds up to 2,200MB/s and write speeds up to 1,600MB/s
- Massive storage capacity options up to 2TB
- LDPC (Low-Density Parity Check) error correction code (ECC) technology, End-To-End (E2E) data protection, and RAID engine for enhanced data integrity and stability
- Supports NVMe 1.3, Host Memory Buffer (HMB), and SLC Cache to deliver high and efficient performance
- Small form factor M.2 2280 (80mm) allows for easy installation in laptops, small form factor PC systems, and some ultrabooks

Verdict
This is a great pick for anyone looking to upgrade their PC. It is solid performance guaranteed, although not the BEST performance. If you’re looking for a solid SSD with good enough performance and a low price point, this is a great pick.
I rate it 8/10 and I definitely recommend it for the purposes mentioned in this article.
